A Good Reason to Ride
Welcome to the 3rd annual Denver Century Ride. We are so pleased that you are a of this year’s event. The Denver Century Ride has been a work in progress for several years. It is the brainchild of a team of Denver natives and avid cyclists who participate in cycling events locally and throughout the country. The group realized Denver was missing something – it’s very own Century Ride! A combined team of the very best event and operation planners, ride directors, volunteer directors and marketers joined forces to begin the process of putting together the Denver Century Ride.
The Denver Century Ride will benefit BikeDenver and is supported through the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Community Foundation. Net proceed of this event will benefit area causes as distributed by CBRBCF. In the past two years the ride has given back more than $20,000 to local beneficiaries. We hope that 2012 will be our most successful year yet!
BikeDenver is Denver’s bicycle advocacy organization. Our mission is to promote and encourage bicycling in Denver and to get more people in Denver on bikes for recreation, transportation and FUN, because we believe that bicycling is good for Denver and our local communities.
Our work is focused in two areas; advocacy to improve policy and infrastructure that supports increased safe bicycling, and community engagement.
Our network includes 3,000 supporters and more than 200 volunteers who regularly participate in outreach events and help provide free community bike parking at Denver festivals and events with a combined attendance of over 1.6 million.
